Honey Saturday – My grandmother’s honey cookies

I learned this recipe from my grandmother, as my grandfather was a beekeeper, so honey was often used as an ingredient in the kitchen. I highly recommend it to anyone who loves simple-to-make sweets.

Ingredients:

  • 4 whole eggs

  • 24 g powdered sugar

  • A pinch of cinnamon

  • A little (about 1 tsp) baking soda

  • 3-4 tablespoons of honey

  • 4 tablespoons of oil

  • 36 g flour

Instructions:

  1. Mix eggs and powdered sugar: Break the eggs (whites and yolks together), add the powdered sugar, and whisk until as fluffy as possible.

  2. Add the remaining ingredients: Add cinnamon, baking soda, honey, and oil to the mixture, then stir to combine.

  3. Add the flour: Gradually add the flour in small portions and mix.

  4. Preheat the oven: Set the oven to 180°C (350°F).

  5. Prepare the pan: Grease a baking sheet, then pour in the batter.

  6. Bake: Once the oven is preheated, bake for 20-25 minutes and check with a toothpick to ensure it’s cooked through.

  7. Cool and Serve: After cooling, cut into pieces and serve as desired.

Enjoy your treat!
